Townsend Conservation Land Trust participated in the library’s Festival of Trees during the holiday season. Our book was A River Ran Wild by Lynne Cherry, a true story of the history, the polluting, and the cleanup of the Nashua River. The Squannacook River in Townsend is a tributary of the Nashua River .

TCLT coordinated the Audubon Christmas Bird Count for Townsend. We also participated in the count by observing birds on three of our properties: Howard M Stein Memorial Park, Pheasant Ridge Trail and Park, and the Mikko and John Aho Nature Trail.
